, gnocchi, risottos, antipasti, pesce and carne are prepared fresh here and, above all, with ‘amore’. We deliberately don’t serve pizza – instead, our focus is on sophistication without pretension, seasonal specialities and moments of genuine indulgence. A touch of fusion is a must, and so we’re also reviving culinary classics, such as dishes flambéed at the table. You simply must try our crêpes Suzette!

Are you looking for truly excellent Italian cuisine in St. Moritz? The MONO restaurant, situated within the Art Boutique Hotel Monopol, is the place to be for anyone who loves Italian cuisine and Bella Italia.  

In true Italian tradition, the primo piatto is followed by ‘il secondo’, the main course featuring exquisite meat and fish dishes, topped off with a sweet finale: il dolce. Always a delight on the palate and well worth a try is, for example, our sea bass in a salt crust – please do make sure to book in advance. And for dessert, a fruit sorbet with Italian lemon liqueur – buonissimo!

MONO also stays true to its concept when it comes to wine pairings: our house wines, MONO Red and MONO White, were sought out and sourced in Italy. The wine cellar focuses on Italy and Graubünden, complemented by selected wines from France, Spain and other outstanding wine-growing regions.

Not only is the food good here, but you’ll want to linger a while. And that’s just as well.

After all, savouring a meal takes time. An elegant interior, carefully selected art on the walls and subdued lighting create the perfect setting for Italian-Mediterranean dishes, ranging from comforting classics to fresh new interpretations. Added to this is our excellent MONO service, which is unobtrusive yet leaves a lasting impression.

And for those who don’t want to leave just yet, the Smokers Lounge on the ground floor or the St. Moritz Sky Bar at the very top offer the perfect way to round off the evening: a final drink, a cigar or the view. This is how an evening can come to a charming close – and sometimes last a little longer than planned.
